Ken Ludwig’s The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) is a 2012 Edgar Allan Poe Award-winning comedic mystery set in December 1936. Broadway star William Gillette, famous for playing Sherlock Holmes, invites his cast mates to his Connecticut castle for Christmas Eve. When a guest is murdered, Gillette inhabits his detective persona to find the killer.
