Show Synopsis:

In December 1936, Broadway star William Gillette, world-renowned for playing Sherlock Holmes, invites his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous.

Character Breakdown:
William Gillette (Male, 40s-60s) An Actor who became famous for portraying Sherlock Holmes. He is charming, dramatic and loves attention. William Invites his friends over for a gathering on Christmas Eve. After a murder occurs, he decides to solve the crime as his on-stage persona “Holmes”

Martha Gillette (Female, 60s+) William’s Mother.  An Eccentric, and witty character who dotes on her son. Provides some comic relief. Might be more to her than she lets others see.

Felix Geisel (Male, 30s-50s) William’s best friend. Also, an actor. A nervous, and excitable sort of character. Can often play as a sort of “Watson” to William’s “Holmes.”  Married to Madge for an extended period which causes some humorous bickering between the couple.

Madge Geisel (Female, 30s-50s) Another fellow actor and loyal wife to Felix. She has a dry wit and sharp edge which she uses to constantly put Felix in his place. Seems to enjoy the verbal combat between them.

Simon Bright (Male, 20s-30s) A young actor who is a bit naïve. He is in love with Aggie. He comes across as a bit nervous and insecure at times but has a kind and serious soul.

Aggie Wheeler (Female, 20s-30s) Beautiful young actress. Ingenue of the group but has a core of steel underneath that most people would not expect. Engaged to Simon but might have feelings for someone else. Recently lost her husband under very mysterious circumstances.

Inspector Harriet Goring (Female, 40s-60s) Another eccentric character. Arrives to help solve the crime. Her unorthodox style can come across as foolish or brilliant, which can provide some laughs. Either way she always seems to solve the crime.

Daria Chase (Female, 40s-50s) Infamous theatre critic whose cutting and cruel reviews have made her the enemy of many actors. Her arrival is not appreciated by most of the party guests, as she casts secrets and suspicion on the proceedings.
