Callback Date: March 20, 2024 (6:00PM - 10:00PM)

Location: 160 W. Main St, Lewisville, TX 75057

Bring a current headshot/resume, music in the correct key and properly marked. Be sure to fill out the online audition form, which will be printed for you. We ask that if you for any reason you need to cancel your audition, please do so at least 48 hours before the audition date.

 

If you're unable to attend the audition in person on March 19, you may submit a video audition. Video auditions must be submitted by March 17th, 2024. You may still be asked to attend the in-person callback on March 20th. YouTube link for videos is preferred. Please send all materials to: kjw11987@gmail.com. Please include: video link, current headshot & resume, availability for callback on March 20th, and a list of any conflicts between April 22 - June 7. Any conflicts after June 7 will NOT be accepted.

 

First rehearsal date: April 22, 2024 (Rehearsals will generally take place Mon - Friday evenings and Saturday moming/afternoons. Weekly schedules will be set based on conflicts and may vary week to week. Call times will vary each rehearsal.)

 

Performance dates: June 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 29 / July 5, 6 ® 8:00PM June 16, 23, 30 / July 7 @ 3:00PM

 

All rehearsals and performances will be held at the Lewisville Playhouse performance space. Seeking adult actors only (18 and up). Roles are available to actors of all racial and gender representations, unless specified. Local DFW actors only. No housing is available at this time. Actors will receive a performance stipend of $150.

 

* The roles of SEYMOUR, AUDREY, and THE PLANT (VOICE OF AUDREY Il) have been pre-cast.

 

The following roles are available:

 

CRYSTAL / RONNETTE / CHIFFON - Mezzo-Belt (Ab3-F5) Any age.

The narating street urchins, acting as the ocasiona Greek Chorus: Young, hip, and smart, these gits are the only ones who have a grip on reality. Seeking POC actors for these roles (Black/Mixed/Latin representation). Female presenting. Strong vocals and movement.

ORIN SCRIVELLO, D.D.S. and OTHERS - Baritone (G2 - G4) Late 20s-40s

An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. (The actor who plays him also plays A Voice not unlike God's, Wino #2, Customer, Radio Announcer, Mr. Bernstein, Mrs. Luce, Skip Snip, and Patrick Martin.) Strong comedic range. Male presenting.

MR. MUSHNIK - Baritone (G2 - F4) 40s-50s

The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.

 

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theater song in the style of the show. If auditioning for the roles of Crystal/Ronnette/Chiffon, please prepare 16-32 bars of a 60's girl group song that shows your range and belt. No a cappella.
